Over time it will quite down
If you live life long enough, your going to lose something. It’s a heavy truth. We all gain things we come to truly treasure in our life. Then one day whatever it is will just be gone.
It’s not a simple answer, but it’s not impossible ether
When did it all change? It’s a question I’m often asked. As if there was just some magical moment where I moved from point a to b.
If it hurts just throw it in the river
“I know each of you on this bus carrying something” he would say. “At the end of the day my route take me past the river. There is something I would like do for each of you. As you exit the bus I will be sitting here with my hand extended. It is my hope that you take those burdens off of your shoulders and place them in my hand.”
Discernment comes from having boot on the ground
On a cold December morning is it to cold to hit the woods to stalk a whitetail. Of course that answer varies depending on who you. The same rings true about everything in the world around us. Along with any task in life the view on it with be different for each of us.
Getting back to the basics
We all have come from somewhere, which means we carry history with us. Both good and bad memories and events are stored within the pages of our life. So why run away from them? or even try to deny we lived through them. The purpose of a healing journey isn’t about washing them from the page. It’s about tapping into all of them to understand the nuts and bolts of how they shaped us. The path we are navigating is to distill the context, boil down all of that information into bite size chucks. Morales that we can use in many different ways as we walk
Relinquish
Never complete a negative thought. At times it’s only natural to begin them, but you must never finish them. Our minds work in such a way, where it’s the goal of the mind to turn our thoughts into reality.
Sitting on shore
There’s no shame to be had when your facing fear or any mix of feeling because life is forcing you to boots back on a walk. The truth of the matter is that we can’t stay where we are forever. We have to reach into the unknown because that’s where the magic happens.
Born for humanity

It’s a somber day around camp (saying fair well to a new friend)
The heading is always “ today is our big day”. It was only a few hours after that email was sent I came into an unfortunate update. Erec had passed away sometime last week. Which means that instead of it begins a big day. It’s now a somber one.
